Direction property manage of the predefined style producing smooth color transitions:

fdNone - in this mode the button is standard TBitBtn
fdTopToBottom - start color changed to end color from top to bottom edge
fdBottomToTop - start color changed to end color from bottom to top edge
fdLeftToRight - start color changed to end color from left to right edge
fdRightToLeft - start color changed to end color from right to left edge
